On the Prowl!

Right! As soon as I wake up from my "heated" nap!

OK, you got me up.
Now you listen up good, I don't like repeating myself!

I can't believe it has been so long since I was at the computer. It seems all I've been doing is walking, eating, playing with Dave and Pat and sleeping.
Actually, I'm getting pretty good at "treeing" the squirrels! There sure is a lot of them. I'm in my glory. Almost every tree has a squirrel or two in it.

OK, I've cleared this street of pesky squirrels!

They don't know who they're dealing with.

Wait, did I just hear something?

Maybe it was over here!

I've got a lot of territory to control.

Got another one. They're too easy!

Next....

Its been a little cool in the mornings so I have to put one of my three stylish jackets on.

I always say, a little dog can cast a large shadow!

Well, this was fun but I'll have to cause a ruckus or something so I can have more to write about.

In the mean time,

I'll

keep

an

eye

out

for

you.....

What does a Yorkie have to do to get some computer time around here!

Brother, between Pat and Dave I don't stand a chance at getting some keyboard time lately. They should be glad they didn't give me their password! I have to wait for Dave to go get a beer then I can paw the keys for a few minutes.

Its beginning to get cooler here so Pat and Dave likes dressing me up in these jackets. The jackets do feel nice and warm but they crimp my style!
Let's see, I've got this nice furry one in the picture below, a gray one that's really snug and makes me look tough, and a new one that makes me look like an Eskimo! I can't wait to try that one on!

If I'm going to catch a squirrel, I've got to be able to move freely and quickly.

Gee, what do you want? He's always pointing this thing that flashes at me.

I fooled him this time. I smiled for him!

Alright already, enough is enough!
Geesh, will he ever let me hunt!

Uh, wait a minute. I think I see one...

OK he's got my attention now!
Oh, this is my classic profile pose! Do you like it?

Come on Dave, keep up!

Darn I know he's up there.

Chasing them up the tree is fun. But my neck is getting tired.
Whew! There are so many squirrels around here. My work will never be done!

I actually think I got away with it! I deleted two photos that Dave took of me that were really embarrassing.
He'll never notice, and once I cuddle up on his lap he'll forget all about them!

Baby it's cold outside!

Boy, what happened to the nice warm days down here. Dave and Pat have been putting my nice warm coats on me for the past day or two, but this morning I had to fast-walk when Dave took me for my morning routine. Yikes, even with my coat on I was much colder than I thought I would be. I heard Dave say to Pat that it is 42 degrees outside. I don't know what that meant but I certainly felt how cold my big ears were this morning. When we got back into the house, I had to sit in Dave's lap to warm up. He felt my ears and began to rub them, boy did that feel good. I really like Dave's long walks in the morning and afternoon but I think I'll give him a hint when I get really cold. I know, I'll just start limping on my rear leg. He'll think my surgery is hurting and "bingo," he'll pick  me up! See, being small has many advantages.

I've been having so much fun "treeing" the dumb squirrels around here. I get so excited when I see them and they don't see me. I immediately go into my "stealth" crawl.

These guys are easy targets when I'm in my "stealth" crawl. My only problem is Dave! He follows me and can't keep up when I bolt toward my prey. Not only that, but because he can't keep up with me I always run out of leash before I get to the buggers! Oh well, I still claim that I "treed" these furry rats!

Dave was just looking at some of my pictures and I quietly slipped this one into my blog. This is me in my "Mom's" yard in PA. I remember this was just before Pat and Dave took me with them. I was running around with my "Mom" and chased a bunny. Becky, Pat and Dave were all excited. They were yelling for me to come back. That was so much fun. Wow, how long ago was that? Dave says I'm one and a half years old now. Gee, I thought we were going to get to see my "Mom" and Becky this year. Oh well, I hope we can see them sometime soon. Maybe when it gets really warm again.

Oh Pat just told Dave that Darlene and maybe Linda will visit us today! I have so much fun with them. I'll have to do the "puppy thing" and share my "lap sitting" between both of them. Its really easy for me to get them to pay attention to me!
Got to go, I have to practice my puppy expressions!

Now I'll have more to talk about next time.

On watch!

I just can't get enough of the new views I have at this house. I've got four awesome places I can check out all the squirrels and lizards that try to tease me.

This one is my favorite! I have my couch that I can relax on and check out the squirrels. But, lately Pat and Dave don't let me jump on the couch. I have to use these funny stairs!

This one is new. Pat opens the window thingy and I can guard the front of the house. There's also lots of lizards crossing the driveway.

This one is great because I can watch any lizards that get into the screen area. Sometimes I have to bark at the squirrels that cross the screens. Dave gets all upset because the squirrels can break the screen. I keep trying to tell him I can take care of them!

These windows are great but just a little tall for me. I don't mind the view from these windows because my kennel is in the corner. I would never get any rest if I could see out these windows from my kennel. But don't worry, I only use my kennel when Dave and Pat go out. I have a super comfortable pet igloo that Pat just gave me for their bedroom. Its so soft and warm. I'll show you next time.

Here's what I can see. This guy didn't stand a chance... if I got out!

I have to show you my new "Clip and Dip" as Darlene calls it!
Just yesterday, Winston and I got to get "clipped ad dipped" together! Then, I got to hang out with him all day long! What a blast. He's getting older and I can run circles around him. But I have to be careful, when he's had enough he puts his paw down really hard.... usually on me!

Boy, Dave's buggin' me with all these pictures!

Oh, all right, one more!

That's it! I'm tired!
See you next time.

I'm back at the keyboard again. Out where a friend is a friend......

Hi Everyone, Dave and Pat finally sorted things out with this move thing they have been doing all summer. Things are so different here. Lots of trees and lots of squirrels to chase up the trees. They don't stand a chance when I get them in my line of sight. It's a good thing Dave has this long leash otherwise I'd be catching them and shaking them like I shake my toys.

Here is one of my favorite "look outs."
I have another look out in the other room. When there are squirrels outside I can run from one lookout to another to keep my eyes on those pesky things. Dave is finding out that I'm pretty good at catching lizards also. They try to dive down into the grass but they have no idea who they're running from. My Yorkie "rat chasing" heritage kicks in and I can hear and smell them when they burrow into the grass. I just attack the buggers. The only problem is that Dave is always pulling me back. Hey, I have to keep my skills up.

Boy, you may have heard I just went through another frightening night at the Vets. Pat and Dave left me again and the next day I woke up with these metal things sticking in my right rear leg and I could hardly move my leg. They took me home and I was really excited but for some reason I couldn't react the way I usually do. I felt strange. My leg was sore and really stiff. At least Dave and Pat cuddled with me most of the time that night and the next day. It felt good being home. Come to think of it they have been really nice to me since they brought me home.

After a few days I learned that they are making me stay on the floor. All I want to do is jump into their chair or lap. They have these stairs for me to climb now. Where is the fun in that? My favorite couch they used to sit with me in their laps now has a fence, pillows and a big funny looking hat to keep me from jumping up on it. But I gave in and do what they want me to do, that couch is so comfy!

There are so many new things and places to explore where I live now. Dave takes me for long walks and there are so many other doggies and their owners to meet.
Dave also likes to take me for what he calls a "buggy ride." I think it belongs to my best friends Darlene and Buzz.  We ride all over and I love moving from Pat's side to Dave's side so I don't miss anything. I love starring down the squirrels as we drive past them. Although, I think Pat got tired of me going back and forth because she doesn't ride with Dave and I that much now. (I want to tell you secretly) I like being able to stand on the arm thingy on Pat's side. I can see much better and the wind is in my face.

The summer was very hot and very confusing for me. Dave and Pat made a mess in one house and then they put stuff in a different house. But, I like the different house better. I can see outside easier! Then, to top it off they have this person mess up my right rear leg! What a summer!
I'm waiting for Pat and Dave to take me someplace so I can get these metal things out of my leg. They are getting pretty itchy and they bother my tongue when I lick the sore that the Vet gave me.

Hmmmm, maybe it is time for some "pay back!"

Something new!

Boy, it's getting hot here. Luckily, Dave and Pat don't keep me out too long in the afternoon. But boy the mornings and evenings are great! First of all I still try to wake Dave up about two hours before he usually gets up. Then he has all he can do to keep me from waking Pat up. But once I get him up we might set on the couch for a little while then we head out. I love the morning thing we do. Dave plops my harness on the floor and I walk in circles around it until he picks me up and places my paws into the holes and wraps it around me. Then, I begin turning around and it drives him crazy while he tries to clip the leash on me. I've got to cool that a little, I think he's getting upset with me when I do that.

The mornings are the best! We now walk to this place where they have all the camping people and I get to chase squirrels, birds and lizards. Although, those lizards are everywhere it seems. Lately, after he takes me for a long walk there's something new and really fun we just started doing. He takes me on this two wheel thing in a brightly colored basket. I wouldn't mind but he ties me in the thing, but I can sit up and see things much better. Plus I get lots of wind in my face.
I got to show you this thing.
You may not be able to make them out but there are four really big birds that caught my eye.

It's really comfortable and I can look all around.

Then we headed into this (I think its called a) camping place. That's when I noticed this thing walking right toward us. Yikes, what a strange looking thing. I just had to take a closer look at it.

Dave put me on the ground and I got to get as close as I wanted to. I barked at it and all it did was make its head and paws (I think) go away. As soon as we rode away he stuck his paws and head out and began to walk away... not very fast either! This thing was no fun to chase. Dave called it a turtle, whatever that is.
Take that you funny looking thing!

Ahhhh, this is the coolest thing. Dave calls it "Lilly's bucket seat!"

I hear some of you go for bike rides now and then, well now we can get these baskets for all of your doggie friends and we can go with you guys! That would be awesome!

I'm One Year Old! Or is it seven years old, I'm confused!

My very first Birthday! Wow, I can't believe it. Where did seven years go! At least that's what Dave keeps saying... "Now that your seven Lilly, you're no longer a baby," he says!
But I really liked the party Dave and Pat gave me. They held me up to the table put this funny hat on my head and then put this big really good looking (and smelling) dog bone right in front of me. I couldn't keep away from it. Hmmmm, now I know why I had more "lap" time with Dave and Pat today.

Wow, nice layout!

I got to check the table setting out while Dave was getting the camera. But, here's all I could see.....

After I caught my breath I could focus.

I tell you I was "star struck!"

We had to take so many pictures, my hat didn't stay on.

I tried in vain to grab that bone... they took sooooo many pictures!

There, hat's on straight. I took my eyes off the bone long enough...."click," I think you're going to like this photo!

Now, time for a group photo...
...take 1... no good, hat fell.

Take 2.... darn hat fell! What do you expect, Dave was holding my chin!

Ahhhhhh! Happy Birthday to me, happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!
Why won't this darn thing light so I can blow it out!

Even the local tree frog wished me a Happy Birthday! This little guy hung out by the front door and man he squawked so much and so loud we thought a house alarm was going off.

Now its time to get down to business.....eating my Birthday bone!
